Grand Opening of New Website!

So I think the designer I hired to make an author website for me is a wizard. His name is Trevor Nielsen, the Discoverable Designer, at https://www.trevornielsen.com/

According to Laura Goode in her excellent book Pitch Craft "a website is an invaluable tool for ensuring that people can find you online. It's a signature, a professional self-portrait. I view an author website as a digital business card."

As I've been sitting with the discomfort of putting myself out there and posting about books and writing, I've decided I don't want to post content for content's sake. A few times I've just thrown stuff together, posted it, and checked it off my "Make Connections" to-do list.

My music professor once told me that even while practicing scales you should make the scales sound beautiful.

So all this to say, I didn't just want a basic website. Thanks to Trevor Nielsen I now have a whimsical website that conveys my personality and craft as an artist. I don't think anyone could have done a better job. Trevor was like a genie! My website is not only beautiful but I was surprised by the confidence boost it gave me. I can proudly hold out my business card to anyone, because this aspect of my online presence is anything but lacking.
